A Symposium focused on Pre and Post Analytics
March 6 & 7, 2025
In-person (Surrey, BC) and zoom conference
2025 Symposium theme: Tributes, Learning and Connections (TLC)
The BCSLS is very excited to announce that we are hosting our 8th annual Pre and Post Analytic Symposium on March 6 & 7, 2025 at the Kwantlen Polytechnic University in Surrey, BC. The sessions will also be available online for those who live outside of the Lower Mainland. The theme of this event is Tributes, Learning and Connections (TLC). Our planning committee is working diligently behind the scenes to make this a very special event for you. Here is a quick overview:
T - In acknowledgment of the vital contributions that Medical Laboratory Professionals play in our healthcare system, we will follow this tribute schedule over the course of the two days: Thursday will highlight all the Medical Lab Professionals working in the Pre and Post Analytic worlds of the Laboratory and Friday will focus specifically on Medical Laboratory Assistants. The tributes may be in the form of pre-recorded clips or short in person statements.
L - Speakers will deliver dynamic educational experiences focused on advancing professional development for MLA’s and PPA Teams in today’s rapidly evolving workplace. If there is a topic that you would like to hear more about or a speaker you would like to hear from at our Symposium, please let our Executive Coordinator, Angie Bender know. She can be reached at angie@bcsls.net. We appreciate your feedback, your requests and your input.
C – The two days will be interwoven with activities and breaks to allow for catching up with people you already know or for making new connections with people in our field. On Friday late afternoon or early evening, we are inviting MLA schools to host their own private tribute to their graduates at their school or other suitable location. This is not a BCSLS hosted event, but the BCSLS will provide information on the reunions on our website. Schools are not required to do this, so it will be up to each individual school if this occurs for their graduates.
We will also include our very popular 'Why' segments. Why segments are 1–5-minute mini educational sessions where experts in our field answer pre-submitted questions from our members. This is your opportunity to ask anonymously here, and your question may be selected. Anonymously submit your question here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/Why2025
See you in March 2025 at this fun and exciting event!!
