The BCSLS is temporarily pausing applications for new MLA programs as the Provincial MLA Curriculum and associated MLA program requirements and policies are being updated. The BCSLS anticipates having the updated curriculum published in May 2026. For those educational programs that have already applied, and that have submitted their curriculum, the Education Program Review Committee will continue to review the submitted curriculum to the existing Provincial MLA Curriculum. For those educational programs that have submitted an application, but have not submitted their curriculum for review, they will be required to use the updated curriculum, once published.
